A group of students from the senior cycle programme at Ennis Community College have got an insight into the diversity of employment opportunities that await them as part of a volunteer programme with Shannon Group plc to encourage school completion. <br />
Through a partnership between Shannon Group and the Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI) programme, 22 students from the Ennis school got to experience a variety of job profiles in the Group through a series of engagements with the company. <br />
During the eight week BITCI ‘Skills @ Work’ programme, the students got to hear about the structure of Shannon Group, who they are and what they do and their value to the local economy.  They got to meet staff at the airport including the operations management, fire staff, security staff and customs staff. <br />
